During your stay you may want to visit some sights or countryside and technical places of interest. We have chosen some of them for your inspiration:
protected nature park with an educational path (spa house "Lázničky", man-made waterfall on the small river Stropnice, ruins of stylish mansions and other natural and cultural places of interest).
castle from the 13th century built to protect the trade route. There you can find an exposition of manufactures from the Boquy's glassworks, the world's largest exposition of the black hyalit glass and the monastery of the Servites and new Napoleonic chateau.
It is one of the best preserved sights of this type in South Bohemia. It was built at the end of the 15th century, and at the beginning of the 17th century it was reconstructed in the Renaissance style. Its small courtyard is enclosed among the residential buildings with a dominant octagonal tower in the corner. Originally a moat (filled now) spanned with a timber drawbridge skirted the fortress.
The cold rainforest has been protected here since1838 and this reservation was established as the first in Bohemia, together with near reservation Hojná Voda, by Jiří Buquoy (the owner of this domain).
The village of Hojná Voda is for the first time mentioned in the 16th century. The spa, called Vilémova Hora ("William's Mount"), was found in 1564, near the spring of healing water. The spa was a very well-known place and a lot of members of the Czech aristocracy visited it. The new name Hojná Voda ("Healing Water") originates from 1653, when the village became a small town. Hojná Voda is a favourite starting point of trips to the peaks of Kraví Hora (Cow Mount - 953 m) with a lookout with nice views on the Nove Hrady Mountains and Třeboň basin. A large field of stones, which is partially overgrown, and interesting rock formations (one of them is the stone called Napoleon) can be seen on the hillside.
This border area was forbidden for tourists during the communist era in the second half of the 20th century. Due to this reason the untouched nature has been very well preserved. The reservation was established here for the protection of rare vegetation of peat-bogs and some species of animals.
The iron-mill is the full functional technical site from 18th century. It is situated close to the city ofTrhové Sviny.

The dominant feature of the village is the pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary. The valuable and magnificent Baroque building stands on the radioactive spring in the imposing position with a nice view of the country. The healing water from was found here in the 16th century and the village was a sought-after spa.
The first mention of the village originates from 1259. The important sight is the St. Nicholas' Church from the first half of the 13th century.
